How to find more elk
Understand what habitat Elk prefer, hunting where there a few Elk likely means you will not see Elk.
Scout the area you plan to hunt in the fall, knowing that there are Elk in a specific area before you begin hunting greatly increases your odds of finding Elk.
Understanding Elk behavior, what are they doing during the rut, what are they focused on, what do they respond to.
Spend more time hunting, this is the number one thing I can recommend to new and veteran hunters.
Know when to use Elk calls, know when to use a bugle, know when to use a cow call
Hunt areas that vehicles and atv’s can not get to.
Hunt areas that are only foot accessible.
Hunt for multiple days in a row, sleep and camp close to where you will be hunting.
These tips are what works, they are simple and that is because finding more Elk is relatively simple in practice. the difference between hunters who find more elk is due to hard work and preparation.
